MUCH NEEDED IN KIND DONATIONS:

The South Suburban Council is about to open the doors of its brand new Recovery Home right here on our East Hazel Crest campus. A much needed addition for the communities we serve in the Greater Cook County and collar counties and Northwest Indiana. With this grand opening comes the need for in kind donations to help support our residents. The Council is kindly asking for and greatly appreciates the following donations. Thank You in advance for supporting our cause for the past 53 years. All donations can be dropped off at door “D” or Central Intake, ask for Lori Dill.
Donations – Accepted to support our patients, residents and community especially for our new recovery home.
  • Clothing: both male and female, especially mens adult
  • Kitchenware such as dishes, glassware, silverware, baskets, and any kitchen utilities, etc
  • Plastics and paper ware: plastics – forks, spoons, knives, etc. paper – plates, cups, etc.
  • Personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, etc.
  • Personal care items such as towels, pillows, sheets, comforters, blankets, etc
  • Cleaning products such as dish soap, glass and furniture cleaner, and any and all cleaning products
  • Paper products such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc
  • Furniture and home decor
  • Non perishable food items
  • School and office supplies
  • Personal protective equipment, first aid kits, etc. – safety is always number one
  • Books, bikes, games, gift cards, etc. – entertainment for our patients and residents
  • Donations that can be auctioned off to raise funds, especially for our annual fundraising banquet
  • Recovery supported materials such as big books, 12 and 12’s, etc
