September 17, 2020
Dear Friends,
I love the rain. My affinity for hot tea, homemade soup, and soaking in the bathtub, makes better sense in rainy seasons.

Judging from seasonal memes showcasing pumpkin spice everything, I'm not the only one needing creature comforts right now. Souls and bodies need nourishing, especially when our "surge capacity" is depleted.

Autumn is around the corner, when daylight hours will start to wane. Whether you decide to dust off the "happy lamp" to beat seasonal blues or break out your baking pans to whip up a batch of carb love, you don't need an excuse for wanting such warmth.

Physically distanced hugs don't afford the same heart squeeze as a real shoulder to cry on. It's ok not to be ok, if that's how you're feeling in this pandemic moment. However you find yourself faring, you need not suffer alone.

We belong to one another. And bearing one another's burdens is part of that communal promise. Some days I need a "pick-me-up" to keep me going. Other days, I can share that grace with someone else. We all are essential and beloved within the Body of Christ.

Should you find yourself wanting someone to listen, simply text or pick up the phone. I'm here for you, whether you ping me on the socials or dial me up at (720) 217-8678. Emails can get buried in my chaotic inbox, I admit. But I will carve out the time to connect. Especially if I know you need that support. Because we all do, from time to time.
With love and gratitude for each of you,
The Rev. Sarah Stewart
Associate Rector for Young Adults and Innovation

Service Opportunity: Threads Winter Coat Drive
Donate New or Gently-Used Children's Coats by October 20

Threads, our children’s clothing ministry, is collecting new or gently used winter coats for children (sizes toddler through big kids size 18 and adult small), along with new winter hats and gloves.

Between now and October 20, you can bring donations to All Saints' during business hours or you can place an order online and have it shipped to the church at 634 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308 (attn: Threads).

Due to the global pandemic, we ask that you please follow these important guidelines when donating items:

  • If you would like to donate a gently-used coat, please wash it before you bring it to the church.
  • All donations that you bring to the church must be in a bag or container that is labeled “Threads Coat Drive.”
  • Threads cannot accept donations of any other type at this time (winter coats, hats, and gloves ONLY).

We also invite volunteers to help deliver the coats to the families we serve on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25.

Please use this SignUpGenius to select a coat size and/or sign up to help deliver the coats: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a49ada828a6fc1-threads.
