Overcoming Homelessness to Pursue a Passion
When Miss K was forced to leave her home, she called Becky's Place. She was very distressed when she arrived and our staff spent time with her, calmed her down, and showed her a ray of hope and new possibilities. Miss K was initially afraid to let people get too close. She settled in and learned new life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. She worked on developing her social and communication skills. Her case manager helped her to communicate more effectively and has been a source of strength throughout her stay.

During her time at Becky's Place, she found employment and earned her drivers permit and was accepted to college majoring in art and business. She hopes to pursue and began selling some of her artwork online. She has moved into her new apartment and is currently working our aftercare program which offers her resources and support. She hopes to give back one day, and we are excited about her journey.
Resident Update
We are currently serving 17 residents and four children. Recently four families moved into permanent housing and are employed.
Your support helps make this possible. Thank you!
Becky's Place Receives
Gift from New Marshalls Store
A new Marshalls store opened in Bedford in mid-November. As part of the store opening, they selected Becky's Place to receive a $10,000 donation. We are so grateful to the Marshalls team and their support of homeless women and children in our community.
Christmas Open House Recap
Thank you to all those who joined us for our Christmas Open House on Tuesday, December 13. It was great to be able to gather together in person again. Program Director Corrina Hayes provided an update on the shelter and program graduates offered tours to guests. It was truly a great time of friendship and fellowship.

A bequest helps you leave a Catholic legacy
When you look back at the end of your life, what would your faith story say about you? If your answer includes your value of giving to charity, then consider what your last gift would say about your faith life. How might you leave a legacy of faith?

A bequest to Becky's Place in your will can make a statement of who you were and what you valued throughout your lifetime. It can also bear witness to your loved ones and community at large to your generosity and need to give back a small portion of that which God has blessed you.
