Construction of the new Wilo USA headquarters in Cedarburg, Wisconsin continues to progress. Some exciting steps include: parking lots first layer of asphalt, curbs, and concrete are in place, solar panel installation is complete, offices are roughed in, and drywalling has started, and the installation of the employee patio has started.
“Construction is still on track to start moving in November 2021. Thank you to everyone making this project successful!” said Jeff Schopp, Senior Project Manager.

The Wilo Group has documented its progress in terms of achieving its sustainability goals in the new Sustainability Report 2020. As the winner of the German Sustainability Award 2021 in the “Climate” category, Wilo is fully aware of its corporate responsibility and has reaffirmed its commitment to climate protection and sustainability.
The coronavirus crisis has only highlighted how urgent sustainable climate protection really is. “Climate protection has been an integral part of our DNA since the company was founded. It’s our explicit goal to provide better access to clean water for 100 million people by 2025”, explains Oliver Hermes, President & CEO of the Wilo Group.

Wilo is responding to the current challenges in terms of climate protection and sustainability and has defined strategic megatrends, based on which the solutions of the future are developed.

"Road to Tokyo": Wilo Supports Team German Men's Eight |
Wilo has been the main sponsor of the German Men’s Eight since 2010. After securing gold at the European Championships in Poznań back in October, the team is ready for the postponed Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Despite many setbacks caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the Team German Men's Eight is preparing professionally and with a clear focus on this highlight.
In addition to the victory in London in 2012, the German Men's Eight has won a total of 6 World Championship and 9 European Championship titles since 2009.

Continuing the Lean Manufacturing Transformation Journey at the Scot Pump facility was the Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse Kaizen starting mid-May and ran through early June.
The event’s focus was to 6S the Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse area. “6S” stands for Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
As a result, the new layout combines Shipping and Receiving to improve process and material flow, improves floor space for utilization for outbound and inbound material, and provides more room for forklift traffic.

American-Marsh product is back on the shelf in California thanks to a new partnership with Premier Pump and Supply, a Division of Pace Supply.
We had to find a new way to serve the local AG/Groundwater market after the closing of our Fresno service center a few years ago. After a few months of planning and building a unique stocking program for the customer, Premier Pump and Supply committed to filling their shelves with a variety of turbine products. This partnership has allowed us to offer same-day turnaround, free deliveries to the customer, and aftermarket support for this unique market which requires a high level of responsiveness and service.

Coming soon, the newest addition to the Wilo USA product line, the Wilo Z 15+. This 115V domestic hot water recirculation pump features a compact design that conserves energy and water. The Z 15+ has a digital timer option as well.

St. Martin's University Installation |
St. Martin's University in Lacey, Washington recently received an 8LCA-14 stage and (1) 5MC-29 stage short set vertical turbines to irrigate nearly 400-acres of campus.
These two pumps replaced an over 30-year-old system that was not as efficient or capable of irrigating more than 10 miles of piping that spanned the entire campus.
The college was extremely pleased with the amount of water achieved with the same horsepower requirements!

When the City of West Rankin, MS began exploring modern for their Master Lift Station, Wilo USA was willing and able to contribute toward a solution. The original 1978 installation of four extended shaft pumps had served them well, the city considered both the scarce availability of OEM parts and the opportunity to significantly improve overall pumping efficiency as key factors when choosing to solicit input from various pump manufactures.
Based on the provided conditions of service, Wilo USA was confident to provide a modern, safer (closed-coupled), and highly efficient pumping solution. After the successful installation and operation of the first unit (540HP motor rating) in 2015, the customer immediately made arrangements to secure future units.
Wilo delivered three additional units in 2020 and looks forward to more years of service and partnership with the City of West Rankin and their dedicated customer base.

Another successful 2021 show marked off our list! We exhibited in person at the Florida Groundwater Show, with proper procedures and guidelines of social distancing in June.
“The 2021 FGWA show was the most well attended and beneficial annual show we had so far for this year. The cancellation of last year’s show had all contractors and exhibitors very eager to participate and learn about the changes and innovations in the groundwater industry,” said Cole Elder, Regional Sales Manager at American-Marsh.

This event was a great way to immerse Wilo into the Cedarburg and Ozaukee County community, which will soon be home to Wilo USA Headquarters.
