Live Oak Public Libraries is pleased to announce Tanya (Lola) Shelton-Council as Director of Community Library Experiences.
Shelton-Council and fellow Director of Community Library Experiences, Robyn Saint-Paen, work closely with library managers and staff across all 16 locations of the library system as well as collaborate with other directors and departments as part of the Library’s leadership team.
Shelton-Council has more than 25 years of library experience, most recently as Director of Trails Regional Library in Missouri. She has also served as an Area Manager for The Public Library, Albuquerque/Bernalillo County in New Mexico, as a branch manager for Cecil County Public Library in Maryland, and as a school librarian for Christina School District in Newark, Delaware.
Shelton-Council has a Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences from University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Rutgers University.
