18 Report cards sent home

25 Honor Roll sent home (grades 6-8)

20 Geography Bee 1:45pm PH

29 Family Bingo Night 5-6:30pm PH

29 - Feb 3 Catholic Schools Week

Report Cards Are Coming Home Today:

Each child (K-8) will be bringing home a report card today. You will notice that they look a little bit different. The new report cards will eventually be used Diocesan wide and includes the logo for the Diocese of Lafayette. Some of the course names may be a little different as well. For example, Computer is now Digital Citizenship, Music is now Exploring Music, etc.

Please note, the grading scale at the bottom has a minor misprint. The correct grading scale for Grades 3-8 is as follows:

A = 94 - 100

B = 85 - 93

C = 75 - 84

D = 70 - 74

F = Below 70

INC = Incomplete

ME = Medical Exemption

7th & 8th grade families:

We are excited for a new feature that allows us to email electronic report cards! We will pilot this new email feature with 7th & 8th grade for this quarter. So in addition the the printed copy your child brings home, Jr. High parents should also receive an email with a link to the electronic report card.

  • You will be asked for a password to open the link.
  • The password will be your child's Student ID number which can be located in the upper left of the printed report card under their name & address.
  • Please make a note of this ID somewhere safe so you have it handy for Q3 and Q4 report cards.

SchoolBelles Certificate/Rebate Program:

SchoolBelles has provided the school with some certificates that

families can purchase for use at SchoolBelles.

We have both $20 and $50 increments.

You pay OLMC School for the certificate, then use the certificate

for it 's face value (either $20 or $50) at SchoolBelles store locations or online.

The money you pay OLMC School for these certificates stays in the school budget!

You can purchase these from the school office with check or cash (exact change please).

Please make checks payable to OLMC.

If you are sending in payment with your child, please make sure

it is clear how many you want and who to send them home with!

The PTO board held our January meeting last Friday and we covered a lot of wonderful things. Feel free to take a look at the Meeting Minutes on the PTO page of the OLMC website to see what we have been up to.😊

The annual book, puzzle, and game drive ended yesterday. There were so many amazing books and games that will be donated to either OLMC or Notre Dame Ace Academies. Thank you Megan O’Connor for organizing!

The Successful End of the Journey

For the past year, many of you have been praying for me as I fought breast cancer. Last Friday, that journey came to a successful end when I had surgery to remove my port where I had received chemo. I had a clear MRI in late November which showed there would be no need to continue the port. The success of my journey is in part due to all of the many Our Lady of Mount Carmel students, parents, teachers, and parishioners who kept me constantly in their prayers. I would not have succeeded so wonderfully without all of the prayers, support, kindness, and love that was showered upon me. God is forever present, and you made sure He never forgot about me. I thank you wholeheartedly for being an integral part of my journey and my life. We serve an awesome GOD!

With God’s Blessings,

Mrs. Beth Ann Fletcher (6th Grade English Language Arts)
