Poetry reading: Of Magpies and Kookaburras

Join us for a poetry reading from Of Magpies and Kookaburras by local poet Margaret Samways, read by Sally Ann Hunter and Dianne Reid. Samways provides a glimpse into her life that includes happy, sad, touching, and introspective moments that remind others that this journey on Earth is meant to be lived fully and not without laughter and tears.
Books will be available for sale.

The staff recently held a breakfast in our lovely Mitcham Memorial Gardens to say farewell to Andree Brett as one of our Team Leaders.
Andree has led the staff through many changes over 14 years and her calm, caring and wise presence will be greatly missed.

We have 3 levels of French classes on Wednesdays during school terms.

Ask staff to check out lost property if you think you may have left something behind. We really do like finding homes for lost items.

Blackwood Library during the bushfire season

The Blackwood Library will close when an EXTREME or CATASTROPHIC fire warning is declared for the Mount Lofty Ranges District.
Library items can be returned via the after-hours chutes. When full the chute will automatically close off. Please do not leave items if the chutes are closed.
The Mitcham Memorial Library remains open as usual.
