If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

From Our Head of School
Dear Prince Families:

During last Friday’s honor society inductions, I again complimented our students on their ability to adapt and overcome the “temporary” new normal this year has brought us. I remain steadfast in my belief our successful reopening and ability to remain open is due in large part to our students’ compliance with instructions, which is a direct reflection on your parenting and the respect for authority they are taught at home. The faculty and staff frequently comment on what a privilege it is to work in a school where students are happy, eager to learn (well, in most cases!), and who look forward to spending time with their friends. Regretfully, this too often isn’t the case in many schools whose classrooms are replete with surly attitudes, profanity in the hallways, and worse.

We remain fortunate with only three positive student COVID-19 cases this year, which thus far have been isolated in the more mobile high school student population. Our combination of traditional and synchronous hybrid instruction has enabled us to keep our quarantined students scholastically on pace with their classmates.

Consistent communication with other independent heads of school continues to confirm the overwhelming practice is to keep students in face coverings, which is also consistent with the recommendation by our medical advisory committee. We will remain in masks for now as we begin to work towards the close of the first quarter, which ends October 9th. For planning purposes, our fall break is October 10-14. That brief hiatus will be a welcomed respite for students, faculty, and staff alike before we begin the second quarter. But we have a great deal to do between now and then; onward!

With warm regards,
Seth Hathaway, Ed.S.

Chaplain's Corner
Dear Parents,

This past week in Chapel, our middle and high school students had the honor of hearing Pastor Josh, pastor at Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Pastor Josh shared on the topic of dealing with sin. He encouraged our students to be honest about their struggles and find forgiveness in Jesus as they learn to trust and follow Him more. I'm so thankful for Pastor Josh's heart for our students and his ability to challenge and encourage our students in their walk with Christ!
