Buffer Planting Approved at Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve
|
The Village passed a resolution for an intergovernmental agreement that allocates funds to plant a buffer screen in Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve along a section of Lake Cook Road near the Country Club Estates subdivision. The landscaping project will be jointly funded by the Village, the Lake County Forest Preserve, Lake County Division of Transportation and Country Club Estates.
The need for the enhanced landscaping resulted from prairie restoration work that removed vegetation which previously served as a visual buffer for residential properties in the Village. The Village is contributing $15,000 toward the costs of the buffer screen. Click here for more information.
