AIA LONG ISLAND CHAPTER HONOR AWARDS
Dear Members:

Each year, for the past 57 years, the AIA Long Island Chapter has been holding its Annual Archi Awards Ceremony to highlight Architects and Architecture. 
We honor outstanding architects and architectural firms as well as other professions that are instrumental in highlighting architecture. 
There is no cost for submitting this nomination.

The Honor Award categories are:

·        Lifetime Achievement Award – Presented to an architectural firm or individual architect for outstanding achievement for over twenty (20) years.

·        Architectural Achievement Award – Presented to an Architectural Firm or individual architect that has produced distinguished architecture consistently for a period of at least ten (10) years.

·        Member Service – Presented to an AIA member who has provided outstanding service to the Chapter for over ten (10) years.

·        Legislator – Presented to a Legislator who has assisted in sponsoring bills that benefit the health, safety and welfare of the community.

·        Educator – Presented to an Educator who has consistently endeavored to advance the profession of architecture through promoting the importance of quality architecture and its positive influence on society.

·        Community Service – Presented to an architectural firm or individual architect who though their actions have increased the quality of life within the community.


If you are familiar with someone who fits those criteria and you would like to submit them as a candidate:

·        Send a description of the candidate’s achievements.
·        Why you feel the candidate is deserving of the award
·        Please send your submissions to archiawards@aialongisland.com.

 Submissions must reach the chapter office by Friday, September 24, 2021 at 5:00 PM EST.

Submissions will be judged by the Archi Awards Committee and you will be notified if your candidate was selected.

We urge you to submit a deserving candidate for these awards.
