Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours

Meeting with Congressman Pete Stauber to discuss Highway 8

Congressman Stauber drew an audience of local leaders and citizens to the Uncommon Loon in Chisago City for a discussion on Highway 8 improvements and funding. The event was to review what’s funded and the funding needs for the highway improvements as well as to get suggestions directly from the community on desired improvements. There were many stories from residents and business owners about the need to improve the highway for safety and economic development.

Congressman Stauber said he will use what he hears to advocate for transportation funds in Congress. He assured everyone Highway 8 is his top priority.

Small Business Development Center - Exciting News!

The SBDC along with the ECRDC and WBA are putting their forces together to deliver a three-part training series designed to assist local businesses competing today and in tomorrow’s post-pandemic economy.

Attendees will gain insights to help them make informed decisions about how to best address their business needs in today's marketplace.

Training topics include marketing, employee recruitment and finances and include the opportunity for one-on-one coaching post training workshop at no cost.

Old Hwy 61

Park BINGO!

The Old Highway 61 Coalition is inviting the public to travel Old Highway 61 this summer and play a little ‘Park Bingo’ to be eligible to win some cool prizes.

They have compiled a list of city, county, and state park locations that stretch from southern Chisago County and move north through both Pine and Carlton County. This a fun and family-friendly way to explore the area along Old Highway 61.

Anyone can participate in the ‘Park Bingo’ activity from Memorial Day through Labor Day of 2021.
