It is an age-old question: why is there evil in the world? In the parable of the wheat and the weeds Jesus suggests that both grow together until the harvest. With Paul, we long for the day when all creation will be set free from bondage and suffering. Having both weeds and wheat within us, we humbly place our hope in the promises of God, and from the Lord's table we go forth to bear the fruit of justice and mercy.

We want to help parents and grandparents by providing resources for teaching about God's love to youth at home.

A Quick, Midweek Spiritual Pick-Me-Up
At the direction of Church Council and with an enthusiastic thumbs up from Pastor Aaron we are going to have a quick, spiritual, casual, pick-me-up, 15-20 minute Wednesday worship time entitled, HANGOUT 4 HOPE.

Each week will PAL will host while a variety of special guests offer devotions, special-sing-a-long music, and one key verse from Scripture.

We hope you'll join us weekly on Wednesday at 7:00pm.

Vacation Bible School
There are TWO ways to have some fun in the SON this summer with AdventELC's VBS!

The first way comes to YOUR Driveway! (or one near you 🤗)
Pick one, two, or all of the follow options:

  • If you would like to have us COME TO YOUR DRIVEWAY in the month of July to put on a 30-45 minute as you host a mini-VBS for people in your neighborhood, CLICK HERE.

  • If you would like to have your child(ren) ATTEND a Driveway VBS, CLICK HERE.

We are also offering a stay at home Virtual VBS experience called FOCUS!

Each day at 9:00a, July 20-24, there will be online content including: Bible story time, instructional craft videos, music, and maybe a suggested game. Are you not available at 900a? or are you out of town that week? No Problem! Sign up and you can participate whenever you would like to!

Conversational Bible Study
Bible Study with Pastor
Join us for an interactive Bible Study on Zoom (video chat), Thursdays from 7-8pm.

We use the Daily Discipleship Bible studies from the ELCA which are based on the assigned Gospel reading to used at Sunday worship!

Our annual Old Time Gospel Sunday will be on Sunday, July 26 with just ONE SERVICE beginning at 10:30am. Come for the faith outside in the parking lot and stick around for some socially distanced fellowship and fun as you bring a picnic lunch!
Our High School youth group members have been making phone calls to members of the congregation to check in on them, as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
