On Indigenous Peoples’ Day (10/11/2021), our Nation celebrates the invaluable contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

PSAT/NMSQT Testing Day--Día de la prueba PSAT / NMSQT
Modified Bell Schedule-Wednesday October 13th
On Wednesday, October 13th 9th grade students will be taking the PSAT-8/9 while the 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT.

The PSAT and the PSAT/NMSQT or Pre-SAT Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is an opportunity to measure what students learn in school, determine if students are on track for college success, and open doors for opportunities to prepare and pay for college.
12th grade students will be completing their financial aid and other college application materials.

All 9th and 12th grade students are expected to be at Curie 8:00am-2:50pm.

All 10th and 11th grade students are expected to be at Curie 7:30am-2:50pm.

9th, 10th, and 11th grade students need to bring their own calculators and pencils for the exam.

The Discovery Partners Institute (DPI), Wilbur Wright College and Google Chicago are joining forces to offer a new program series, called Discover Computing, to build a deeper and more diverse pool of students pursuing computer science and tech pathways in Illinois.

The Discover Computing program is designed to serve first-generation students and students of color enrolled in Chicago Public Schools and throughout the Chicagoland area. We are pleased to share that 628 Condors met the minimum eligibility requirements for the Curie HS National Honor Society! The invitees have completed at least one of the CPS required service-learning projects, maintain a year-to-date attendance rate of at least 95%, and possess a minimum 3.0 (weighted) cumulative GPA.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO RECEIVED AN INVITATION! Be sure to submit your application before the deadline noted in the invitation.
Fall yearbook surveys are here! Students on the yearbook staff are now collecting survey responses for feature topics in the 2022 yearbook. Surveys are open to all current Curie students. Every survey will give students the option of being photographed or interviewed for the yearbook, but no photo submissions are included this year and most of the questions are multiple-choice. Depending on the topic, surveys may require students to be logged in to their CPS email in their browser.

For some of our students, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), can be safe, engaging, affirming spaces where they can thrive. HBCUs have served as a beacon for education and culture for predominantly Black students for decades, and Real Talk is bringing together representatives from HBCUs across the country to answer all of your students' questions.

"Real Talk: HBCU Edition" is a two-part series where you and your students can connect with representatives from 17 HBCUs, including Howard University in Washington, D.C., Spelman College and Morehouse University in Atlanta, and Texas Southern University in Houston.

Join us for Part 1 on Wednesday, October 13, and Part 2 on Thursday, October 14, at 6 p.m. CT/4 p.m. PT.
