When we gathered in September 2019 for the Security in Houses of Worship Interfaith Symposium, we could not have imagined how different our world would look in two years. Together with the San Francisco Interfaith Council, the Jewish Community Relations Council, the Islamic Networks Group, the San Francisco Foundation, and the Walter & Elise Haas Fund, this virtual symposium will bring our communities together to hear from experts on organizing and empowering communities to deal with challenges facing us all, from a rise in hate crimes, bigotry, Islamophobia, and antisemitism, to navigating uncertainty as we resume gathering for communal activities.
