Volunteers Needed for Constitution Day 2020
COVID-19 has cancelled many of our programming this year, but it has also opened up many opportunities! As such, the YLD is excited to host the 2020 Constitution Day program completely virtually, providing us the opportunity to reach even more students and educators throughout the state.
All New Mexico fifth-grade classrooms are invited to participate in Constitution Day, and volunteer attorneys are needed to conduct roughly hour-long virtual presentations across the state during the week of Sept. 14-18. Presentations may be held live or be pre-recorded for students to view independently with a lesson plan.
Visit www.nmbar.org/ConstitutionDay by Aug. 28 to volunteer, to view curriculum resources, and for more information about what to expect with this program. Please note that flexibility in presentation dates is available, especially as educators, students, and Bar members continue to adapt to personal and professional schedules with COVID-19.
