Balloon Fiesta Board of Directors Announces New Officers
Balloon Fiesta has announced new leadership of its volunteer board of directors for 2022, including:
- Al Tetreault as president
- Judy Nakamura as vice president
- Neil Jackson as secretary
- Richard (Dick) Rice as treasurer

December in Ballooning
On December 3, 1980, Bruce Comstock set the distance world record for AX-12 type balloons. Comstock and pilot Jeff VanAlstine took flight in Anderson, Indiana and landed just south of Raleigh, North Carolina, a distance of about 500 miles. This record has since been superseded.
