Pharmacy Student Saves Woman from Overdose
Sasha Heyneman initially mistook the young woman who was lying in the lawn of an area rehabilitation center on a frigid Thursday night for a halloween decoration that had fallen from a tree. It was after 10 p.m. when Heyneman, 29, and her partner, Arthur, were driving to her parents’ home to pick up her dog, Washburn.

Idaho State Mourns the Loss of a William "Bill" McCurdy
William McCurdy
William “Bill” McCurdy, a well-known philosophy instructor who was seldom seen without a book in hand and a fedora on his head, died of COVID-19 complications on Monday, his 74th birthday. Monday's edition of Idaho State Today will include a tribute to Bill and a look back at his career. Colleagues will also their memories of Bill.

Idaho State University, in collaboration with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, is pleased to announce a day-long celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day on October 11. This year’s event, themed “Native Power, Resilience & Strength in the 21st Century,” will feature a a number of events.
