Businesses with revenues up to $2.5 million, up from the previous threshold of $500,000, are eligible for grants and are now encouraged to apply!
- The limitation for businesses that received Federal Paycheck Protection Program loans has been increased from $100,000 to $250,000.

MPBID continues support for the "Morris Park Community Garden" : light fixture approved by DOT and forthcoming daffodil bulb planting honoring 9/11
|
|
Thank you to the dedicated volunteers Friends of the Morris Park Community Garden that spent hours cleaned up the sidewalk at 1000 Sacket Ave, along the garden, following the effects of Ida and the impact of garbage dropped regularly, littering the sidewalk! The MPBID also requested, and received approval from the DOT for the installation of a light fixture missing on the pole at Colden and Sacket, upon consultations with local home owners, concerned of safety and sanitation issues. We will continue our support for the Morris Park Community Garden by planting 911 daffodil bulbs this fall, part of the citywide Daffodil Project honoring the memory of 9/11. If you want to join the volunteer group and help us beautify this space, please email mpcgfriends@gmail.com

Safety reminders and additional pricing information from the e-scooter operators
In 2020, the New York City Council passed Local Law 74 (PDF) , mandating that the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) create a pilot for a shared e-scooter system in New York City. The law specifies that the pilot will not occur in Manhattan and will prioritize areas underserved by Citi Bike , New York City’s docked bike share program. The pilot will last at least one year and no more than two years. During this time, NYC DOT will evaluate shared e-scooters as a viable transportation option in NYC and monitor scooter operators’ ability to keep their fleet maintained and out of the public right of way. More information is available on the DOT website here
