Please register to join the DC CFAR Basic Sciences Core Virtual Research Day on Friday, August 20 from 2:00 -5:00 PM ET. This online event will bring together Basic Sciences Core service providers and other Basic Sciences HIV investigators to present their services and research to members of the DC CFAR community.

The Virtual Research Day will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. David Volsky, Professor of Medicine and Pathology in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Volsky's talk will be followed by a series of presentations by DC CFAR Pilot and Transitioning Investigator award recipients and HIV researchers at different stages in their careers:

  • Dr. Rebecca Lynch, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Tropical Medicine, and Immunology, George Washington University

  • Dr. Natalia Soriano-Sarabia, Department of Microbiology, Tropical Medicine, and Immunology, George Washington University
