Staff Update: Bobby Fisher transitions to Haven Harbour dockmaster role
|
A custom we are most proud of here at Haven Harbour Marina Resorts is a long history of promoting from within. To that end, we are happy to announce that Bobby Fisher has begun the transitioning process to fill Haven Harbour Marina's dockmaster position.
Bobby, a dedicated service technician of six years, lift crew member, and occasional off-season dockhand, has stepped up to take on this full-time role critical to servicing both our slipholder and transient guest communities.
"I'm looking forward to ensuring that our guests have the best experience possible," said Bobby. "It's an at times hectic job, but I welcome a good challenge."
Bobby will be working closely with former dockmaster and current Director of Service Operations Greta Sommers, learning the tricks of the trade.
"We're very lucky to have Bobby step into this role," added Greta. "It's always best to promote from within, and Bobby's move is the perfect example of this. He and I have worked closely over the last six years, primarily due to his willingness to work weekends. Bobby is a hard worker who strives to do his best in every situation and task."
Congratulations Bobby! Be sure to give him a shout when you see him out on the docks, at the fuel pumps or around the marina.

Safe Swimming: What the Chesapeake Bay's health means for your next dip
|
Summer's heat drives most of us to take a dip in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, as well as its feeding tributaries. In ideal water conditions, this is an added bonus to any day out on the water. However, boaters and their swimming passengers should beware of the Bay's health and any area beach advisories before taking a plunge.
Maryland.gov's Eyes on the Bay webpage is a helpful resource to monitor the Bay's health, with links to each bayside county's health department website for the latest local advisories and warnings.
For waters near Rock Hall, please visit the Kent County Health Department's Environmental Health Services webpage, where the latest beach advisories and bacteria testing information may be accessed.
