Author Mary Cregan Headlines CFH Luncheon
On May 8, author Mary Cregan will share her inspirational story of overcoming mental illness and her personal road to recovery at the 2019 Center for HOPE Luncheon . The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at Wee Burn Beach Club.

Longtime Board Member Jan Dilenschneider will also be honored with the Ray of HOPE award.
Singer John Mayer Awards Grant to Stamford CARES

Fairfield native and Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter John Mayer recently helped to ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS in lower Fairfield County continue to receive high quality services.

Family Centers has received a $25,000 grant from the Back To You Fund of Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF) – Mayer’s donor-advised fund – for its Stamford CARES program. The grant was made at Mayer’s suggestion, and comes at a critical time as HIV/AIDS initiatives nationwide are experiencing funding challenges.  
Associate Board Launches Fantasy Masters Challenge

All proceeds support Family Centers' Bettering Outcomes and Opportunities in Stamford (BOOST) program - a summer enrichment and education program for children living in Charter Oak Communities neighborhoods.

Andre Campos Named
Public Health Champion

 The City of Stamford’s Health Department recently announced that Andre Campos , a Senior Medical Case Manager with the Stamford CARES program, was named its 2019 Public Health Champion. 
 
Campos was chosen for his long-term commitment to improving the lives and overall health of those with HIV/AIDS. He will be honored at a ceremony the week of April 1.
