Even though Bishop Mark and his wife, Terry, have long been serving alongside St. Luke's in the Akron/Canton area, this is Bishop Mark's first visit to us since his installation in February.

Summer Movie Nights at St. Luke's

St. Luke's is hosting Outdoor Movie Nights this summer on the Big Screen in our backyard!
The final movie of the summer is coming up
Friday, August 20th
at 7:30 PM, featuring "National Treasure."
Starring Nicholas Cage
and Jon Voight.
Invite your family and friends and bring a lawn chair. We'll supply the popcorn. 
Our next Alpha Course will begin this fall on Wednesday, September 8th, and this time we will be meeting “in-person.” 

There will be an organizational meeting after church this Sunday, August 15th, for anyone interested in participating
as a group leader or serving as part of the hospitality team.

St. Luke’s Fall Festival will be on
Saturday, October 16th.
We will have our first planning meeting on Sunday, August 22nd, after the service for everyone interested in taking part. 
Here we grow again! As we are blessed to have more children among us, the need for volunteers for the Sunday School and Nursery ministries has also grown.
We will be having a meeting on Sunday, August 29th, after the service for those involved in (and those who wish to be involved in) serving the youngest among us.

The Copley Outreach Center will be starting their Backpack Food Program after Labor Day.
They are looking for single-serving portions of cookies, snacks, granola bars, and more. See the flyer on the church Welcome Board or Click here for a list of the food needs.
Stop by the Cafe after the service on Sunday for a time of food and fellowship. Your donations benefit various ministries at St. Luke's.

Are you interested in joining Pilates at the church? If there is enough interest, the in-person sessions may start again, 2 days a week. The Clothing Shed
All the clothes you've been stashing in the corner of your spare room can now be brought to the Clothing Shed at the back of the church parking lot.
It's a great place to donate gently used clothing and you'll be helping those in need, too!

Please put your donations in tied bag and put in the slot to keep them safe and dry. (Do not use boxes or put clothing in the shed un-bagged.)
