Treat Yourself!
Order Take-out During Virtual Spring Fest May 15th-17th
With Stay At Home orders firmly in place in Delaware County and Southeastern Pennsylvania, the 7th Annual Haverford Spring Fest is going Virtual. Instead of one day, the Kelly Music for Life team has created a LIVE Stream from Home event including over 50 performers over three days.

The program content will feature many music styles: children’s music, teen pop, ethnic, oldies, folk, and rock.

While you watch the performances, treat yourself and make it more festive by ordering take-out that weekend. Our businesses need your support now and in the coming months! Many restaurants are offering take-out and weekly specials. To see the list of options, click the link below:
HPED Welcomes New Road Brinery

HPED would like to introduce New Road Brinery, located at 1613 Earlington Road, to Haverford Township. Patrick Gigliotti, owner, started by simply making pickles in his home and sharing them with his friends. In 2016, while working in Center City, Patrick gave some to the owner of DiBruno Brothers and was encouraged to create more for sale. In just a year Patrick had obtained all necessary permits and began selling his pickles to a number of retailers.
How Residents can Safeguard our Businesses
During the Coronavirus Crisis

Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED) is committed to supporting local businesses, especially our family-owned businesses, during the coronavirus crisis.

We know that Haverford Township residents are also eager to support our businesses at this time.
There are many ways that residents can support businesses while keeping your family safe:

  • Order and pay online when possible
  • Take advantage of curbside pick-up, delivery, and shipping options
  • Purchase gift cards from businesses who are closed to tide them over during this crisis. Consider buying a gift card for someone who is working at an essential business, such as hospital staff and first responders, or for an elderly friend or neighbor.
  • For businesses that are closed, like your hair salon, barbershop, gift shop, realtor, fitness center, you can support them by liking their facebook page, leaving an online review, commenting on or liking their posts!
  • You may also want to support our local non-profit organizations whose fundraising efforts have stalled, by following them on Facebook or making a donation: HPED, HT Free Library, HT Historical Society, the Grange Estate, Kelly Music for Life (Kelly Center), Haverford Music Fest, HT Adult School, HT YMCA, etc.

We have compiled information about the status of businesses in the Township and posted it on the  Discover Haverford  website, starting first with our restaurants and stores, so that residents can see which businesses are open, open for pick-up and delivery only, and which ones are closed.

We are asking businesses to email  info@HPED.org  so that we have the most accurate and current information to post.
