Conferences Oct. 26 & Oct. 28
Conference sign-up information will be sent out this week Friday, October 8th. We will once again be using PowerSchool to sign up for conferences. Fall conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th from 4-8pm and Thursday, October 28thth from 1-6pm. Last year many parents commented positively on virtual conferences so we will be offering both in-person and virtual options. Conferences scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th will be in person. Conferences on Thursday, October 28th will be virtual. We hope this allows each family to find a time to strengthen the partnership between home and school to benefit their child’s education and progress.  

Fall conferences are required. PK-5 families: Plan to sign up for a conference with your child’s classroom teacher. 6-8 families: You are invited to schedule conferences with multiple teachers. I highly recommend scheduling with your homeroom teacher. All grades are invited to schedule conferences as they wish with our specialists.

Grandparents Day - Oct. 13
GRANDPARENTS DAY--October 13, 2021

Please pass along the message to your child’s grandparents/grandfriends of our upcoming Grandparents Day Mass and Gathering. Grandparents are invited to join our school mass on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 8:35. This school mass will be held in the gym to allow for additional seating. Masks will be required.

Grandparents should enter through our main entrance doors on Superior Street after 8:05am. Please make this clear to our grandparents as drop-off will be busy on the block until this time. After mass, our guests are welcome to visit classrooms with their grandchildren until 10:30am.

 
Fall Fest Oct. 22
Hi Parents!
We are still looking for Parent volunteers, as well as some student volunteers for Fall Fest on Friday October 22nd from 5-7. 

We thank your for help and are excited for the first Fall Fest in our new school!

GRACE Calendar Raffle
The GRACE Calendar Raffle sale is underway. THANK YOU to those who've already sold their calendars.  If every family sells just 5 calendars, over $20,000 will be raised for Notre Dame of De Pere third source funding dollars. Each $20 raffle ticket will give the recipient a chance to win over $10,000! Our goal is to surpass last year's sales! We are currently at about 20% of our total goal! Golden Apple Awards Program
Each year, the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s Golden Apple Awards program strives to improve the awareness of the quality of education in the Greater Green Bay area. We do so by recognizing high standards of professionalism, leadership, and innovation in teaching. It is our pleasure to kick off the 29th Annual Golden Apple Awards program, accepting teacher nominations from Oct. 4, 2021 through Oct. 29, 2021. This year’s Golden Apple Awards program kickoff is being hosted VIRTUALLY to ensure the safety and health of our school partners, volunteers, and the community at large.

Volunteer Requirements & Opportunities

Notre Dame of De Pere follows all safe environment guidelines administered by the Diocese of Green Bay. Any adult who volunteers at Notre Dame of De Pere is required to have a current background check on file, complete a VIRTUS training course and sign the volunteer agreement form each year.


BACKGROUND CHECK
To complete the background check, volunteers are required to provide personal references, sign a declaration form, and authorize a criminal background check and receive a satisfactory report.

VIRTUS
All volunteers who have contact with children, young people and individuals at risk as part of their volunteer duties are required to complete the VIRTUS Adult Awareness Training Session.

AGREEMENT FORM
All volunteers must sign and return the Diocesan Code of Pastoral Conduct for Volunteers Form to the school office each year.
