This class will offer, "How to Write a Productive Press Release” our guest speaker will be Editor Dave Ryan from the Dorchester Banner.

Mr. Ryan, who has worked with the Banner in a number of capacities for many years, will share professional insights in getting your message out.
Included will be tips such as:

The “5 W’s”- Get the Basics Taken Care Of, that’s much of what your customers are really looking for.

“Short and Sweet” – Whether your message will be printed, read on the radio or TV, or posted online, a moderate length should do it. Mr. Ryan will share how to write this way.

"Email Subject Line" – Doesn’t sound too exciting? Well, neither is getting your email deleted, because the editor somewhere is going through dozens or hundreds at a time.
A few attention-getting words does the trick.

"Picture This" – A photo goes a long way towards getting your press release published. We’ll talk about how to get a good pic to the public.

Last but not least, there will be a chance for questions and answers, so we’re looking forward to seeing you there!
