Mid-March Newsletter
We're already thru the first half of March and our weather continues to improve each day. Well, there are a few set backs (we got a few flurries last week), but in all it is getting better. With the sunshine and warmer temperature it is a perfect time to escape to Door County. And what would a Door County excursion be with out a visit to your favorite holiday shop!
Happening in Tannenbaum this month.....
We wanted to let you know that we will be closed on Easter Day, April 4th, to allow our employees time with their families.

We will be open the day before and have a jelly bean guessing contest. And, if you are not able to come to the store, check out our Facebook page for an upcoming contest to win a store gift certificate!
Byers Choices
It feels like every week there are new Byers Caroler pieces coming into the store. This month we have gotten in the new Coastal Christmas pieces. Nautical Santa and Mrs. Claus are ready for a day at sea in their bold yellow and blue attire including the bright yellow hats. They are complimented with a Nautical Hoop Tree and Nautical Bench. Both are fun accents to complement the scene. This Nautical Santa and Mrs. Claus would go perfectly with our Door County Carolers (which are currently on sale). You could have a whole coastal scene to enjoy all summer long!
We were glad to see how much you all loved the spring pieces from Byers Choice. We are working on getting more of the Flower Vendor and the Woman with Daffodils. We are currently taking preorders for these items. And hope to be able to ship them out in April.
Old World Ornaments
Old World Christmas glass ornaments have arrived at Tannenbaum. We've received almost 700 different styles! Making this the best time of year to pick out the perfect ornament for the special people in your life. We have a wide selection of dogs and cats, baby, 2021 dated designs, Halloween, pickles, food, farm and woodland animals ......well, the list just goes on and on! Check out our website to see all the latest designs.
Last year we were blown away by how popular Santa with mask and the toilet paper roll were and this year we have a few more ornaments relating to current events. Including a Snowman with a mask (which is available now) and two more new ornaments are coming this summer. One is Santa getting vaccinated, and the other is "Where's Bernie" which features Bernie Sanders staying warm with his adorable mittens. Much like last year, we are not expecting these to last long, so please pre-order yours today! We are expecting these to arrive in the store late summer.
Winter Woodland Smell
THYMES Frasier Fir has just shipped an additional shipment to us of replacement products. Frasier Fir has continued to be a popular scent and is one that can be enjoyed year round, who doesn't like the smell of pine. We just received more of your favorites: petite pine needle diffuser, Petite Green diffuser, green molded glass candle, and the Frasier candle tin, laundry detergent, and deodorizing linen spray. Fill in your supplies today.
Easter Basket additions
We have some wonderful stuff animals that would be a perfect addition to an child's Easter Basket. First we have our Giving Bears that come in two different sizes. Giving Bear is designed to be gifted to anyone in need of a little comfort, a little brave, a little safe. Everyone needs a hug, and that’s why this cuddly bear is silky soft and lovingly stuffed for endless hugs. Touchable, textured fabrics offer a soothing feel to this floppy companion. Weighted paws and extra-long arms make this plush teddy bear extra inviting, and his special corduroy ear is perfect for listening. A keepsake bookmark with a message of encouragement comes tied around Giving Bear’s neck to offer bravery and strength when it is needed most.
Animated Animals
We also have a couple different animated stuff animals There is an Elephant (Flappy), Bunny (Flora), and Nursery Time Lamb. Flappy and Flora, both play peek-a-boo and sing a song (Do your ears hang low). Nursery Time Lamb recites five nursery rhymes while its head, body, and mouth move along to the story. Head to our webpage to watch videos of these items in action. We know that these animated stuff animals have been a hit with our grandchild, as they have been with most of the children who come to the store!
Tannenbaum Reading Corner
This newsletter we wanted to feature two new books that have been a hit with our oldest two granddaughters. They are "There's a Monster in your Book" and "There is a Dragon in your Book." Both stories are interactive and make it easy for little kids to sit and listen to them again and again. For "There is a Monster in your Book," the reader is trying to get the monster to leave the book. The reader is instructed to shake the book, tickle the monster, make a loud noise, and more to try to get the monster to leave. However, at the end of the book the reader finds out it might be okay for there to be a monster in the book.
The book "There is a Dragon in Your Book," is about a dragon egg hatching and then what happens when there is a baby dragon. For example, the dragon sneezes and the book is on fire and needs to be put out, the dragon gets hungry so the reader needs to imagine a big bowl of ice cream, and then the dragon needs help learning how to fly.

Both books are fun stories for children (our 4 year old granddaughter loves to "read" both of these books to us). We have them available in board books, so they are safe even around the youngest readers! And at $8.99 they are the perfect price for putting in an Easter Basket.
Vaillancourt Easter Pieces
We were able to get a couple more Easter pieces from Vaillancourt this spring. We still have two figurines left. First we have the Formal Bunny with Carrots. This gent is dressed in his best blue jacket and yellow striped pants. He, of course, is carrying the best carrot bouquet for his special gal. You can't help but smile with you see him.

The other special Vaillancourt piece is the Large Black Bunny on a Delft Egg. At close to 7 inches in length this bunny really does make a statement. The beautiful colors of black, white, and blue can easily go with any décor and can be left out year round.
Coming soon......
We have just received the new Russian Santas. We are working on getting these up on the website, but do have them available in the store for customers (and our favorite one has already sold this last weekend). Each of the these pieces are beautiful one-of-a-kind artworks. The detail and expression on them truly impresses us every year. Our online team is working hard to get them up on the website and are hopeful they will all be listed by the end of the month.
We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Easter! If you are able to get away and come up to Door County, please stop by the store and see all the new merchandise! We are open Thursday thru Monday 10am to 5pm (we are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

We'll be waiting for you!
