|
On September 22, 2021, the Department of Insurance and Financial Services posted Bulletin 2021-35-INS regarding payment to providers under the personal injury protection insurance (PIP). The Director has received some feedback from providers about delays in reimbursement from the PIP insurer. This bulletin is to reiterate the rules for payments to providers, as stated under MCL 500.3142. Insurers and providers are encouraged to work together under these new rules. Learn more →

Nevada Uninsured Motorist Coverage Auto
|
Bill AB 18, effective October 1, 2021, authorizes insurers to offer uninsured and underinsured vehicle coverage in amounts greater or less than the amount of the coverage for bodily injury. The bill also removes the limitation on the maximum amount of uninsured vehicle coverage. Insurers are not required to offer this coverage. Learn more →

Tennessee UR Guidelines WC
|
On August 17, 2021, the TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development filed a notice of rulemaking hearing proposing changes to its utilization review rules. Two key sections are slated for revision: Sec. 0800-02-06-.14 addressing Peer-to-Peer Communication, and Section 0800-02-06-.15 addressing the Annual Report from Utilization Review Vendors.
A public hearing on the proposed rules has been set for October 21, 2021, and written comments are being accepted until November 4, 2021. Learn more →
