The Friends of the Moffat Library
are proud to sponsor a program presented by Leon DiMartino entitled "The Life and Times of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad."

Leon DiMartino has taught history courses for several years at the Desmond Campus of the Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh.

Registrants will be sent a zoom link prior to the program.

REMOTE MENTOR/TUTOR PROGRAM
for Elementary School Students
Sponsored by the
WHS National English Honor Society & the
Moffat Library Teen Advisory Board
Could your child use some extra help with remote learning? Would your young child like to read a book "virtually" together with a reading buddy and come up with creative & fun reading projects?

If you are interested, please sign up below!

What: One-on-one virtual meetings with a high school student volunteer and an elementary student.

Who: Sessions will be with a WHS National English Honor Society student volunteer or a Moffat Library Teen Advisory Board volunteer.

Why: This service is free, and can help boost morale, provide encouragement, homework help, friendship, and connecting with a mentor/role model.
When: Sessions will last 15-30 minutes.

How: Interested families would need an electronic device and internet access.

  • No appointment is necessary to browse. Time limit of 30 minutes.
  • Computer use is on a first come first served basis with 30-minute time limit.
  • Sign-in and sign-out is required (for contact tracing)
  • Patrons must wear a mask to enter the building
  • Entry is at the front of the building (sliding doors)
