Important Notes:
Service Animals
Please know that there will be a service dog in our school assisting one of our students. This service dog is a support for the student and is able to assist him or her in many of the daily routines while learning at school. This certified service dog is highly trained and recognized by an accredited training facility. The student's right to have a certified service dog is protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act; therefore, the handler/student will have the dog in all educational environments throughout the school day. Staff and students will be informed as to proper procedures around the animal because the animal is not a pet, but a certified working service dog while at school. We look forward to this new addition to our school community.
PTA Yearbook Club
If your student is interested in helping to create the yearbook, there will be a meeting on Thursday, September 30 after school in the media center. Click here for a permission form. PTA will also be facilitating a yearbook cover contest. Click here for more information about this opportunity.
Tailgate
The fall tailgate on Wednesday, October 6 is a great way for all students to get involved at NRMS. Students can purchase tickets for $5.00 in the office during lunch the week of the tailgate. The ticket provides students with pizza, water, and chips during the tailgate, along with entrance into the 8th grade football game at the stadium. Please know that all students who attend the tailgate will be escorted to the stadium at approximately 4:15 PM. Once the game starts at 4:30 PM, students can be picked up at any time from the North Gate near the Board of Education building.
Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
Students in the 6th grade will be taking the CogAT on Tuesday, October 5. Please click here to view an informational letter regarding this assessment.
Fees
