Kids coloring at Casitas
Last Wednesday we had a great time at Casitas De Esperanza. A big thank you to the team who worked so hard on our basketball hoops, we would love some more help with that tomorrow!

This week we are doing chicken & Grilled cheese sandwiches and still need some help with food items. If you can bring some chips or drinks please sign up below. And this weekend is our S'more Summer trip! Our first trip together since February 2020. We can't wait! If you want to help us out, we would love an adult volunteer to take on the shopping for us for the trip, more details on that below.

Do you know a 6th grader?
In a few weeks school will be starting for everyone and that means for the JYM we will be saying an official goodbye to our Senior class, and welcoming in a new class of 6th graders!

Do you know someone starting 6th grade this fall? A younger sibling, family friend, or a neighbor? Send their (or their parent's) contact info to Kat at katrina3cyouth@gmail.com and she will reach out to them!

(A reminder, you are welcome to invite anyone to check out our youth group at any time! We just do some special welcome activities for 6th graders since they are starting so many new things at one time)

Service Project at Casitas De Esperanza!
Would love someone to bring chips & drinks!
801 N First Street
We have been loving our weekly service project and are grateful for those who have been able to volunteer. We hope everyone who wants to can have a chance to join us this summer! We have gotten a lot of positive feedback about our food and activities, parents telling us that their kids look forward to Wednesdays, so thank you!

Tomorrow we are serving grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken for dinner, and would love a couple of people to bring some chips and drinks in your own ice chest.

To volunteer with us or donate a food item, click on the form below and add your name to the job you want. Look forward to seeing you!

Casitas De Esperanza is a community serving it's residents 24/7, not just when the JYM is present. Another way we can continue to support this great organization and the families who live there is by fulfilling some asks on their Amazon wish list. Thank you for those who have been able to purchase some things!
S'more Summer with the JYM
This Weekend! We are full!
Aug 1st - Aug 3rd
KOA Campground Monterey/Santa Cruz
Cost $110
We need shopping help!
We would love a parent volunteer to shop for the food we need for our weekend trip. Do you have a Costco card and time to shop on Friday or Saturday? We will send you a list of all the food items we need. Simply save your receipt and we will reimburse you! If you can help respond to this email or contact Lisa.
Have you made your trip payment yet? You can do that today! Let us know if you have any questions or are in need of some financial aid. You can pay all at once, or coordinate a payment plan with Lisa and Kat, whichever works best for your family. And again, if you cannot afford the full cost that's fine! Just let us know when you sign up.
Our two night stay at the KOA Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay campgrounds is this weekend! If you already signed up you should have received a detailed email from Lisa about what to expect and what to pack. If you did not receive that let us know ASAP.

A reminder that we need either proof of vaccination or proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 3 days of our departure date. We also need new medical release forms from everyone as we have not collected any in over a year. I've linked the form here and will be sending to participating families tomorrow.

We will meet at WGUMC on Sunday Aug. 1st at 2:00pm. We will carpool down to the campsite together, and return to church campus on Tuesday Aug 3rd at 5:00pm.

If you would prefer to drive separately that's fine! If you can only come for one of the days, that's fine too!
