To provide a full comprehensive newsletter of all Davis Street's announcements and services to those in-need, our weekly updates will be adjusted to monthly bulletins with relevant information and resources for our community. As of this week, we have cautiously reopened more services, including Dental and Disability Services, to support our most vulnerable population, as well as reinstated operation hours per each department below.

Staff Spotlight
Dr. Shirley Tamoria has served the most vulnerable populations as a Family Physician since 1993. She started her practice at an FQHC in Modesto, worked for Kaiser Permanente as a Senior Associate and has been teaching medical students and other health professionals at many medical schools for over 25 years. She has worked with patients with AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hanson’s Disease, Ebola Virus all over the globe, including Southern Sudan, Peru, Uganda, Kenya, the Philippines, and Nepal. She came well prepared to meet the COVID-19 Pandemic as she continues to work on the frontlines at Zuckerburg’s San Francisco General Hospital since March 2020. She has coordinated efforts with our entire medical team to offer COIVD-19 testing here at Davis Street Primary Care Clinic. She is delighted to serve in our diverse community with our diverse and caring staff to offer compassionate evidenced-based primary care.
PRIMARY CARE CLINIC
Open onsite and through Telehealth technologies Monday - Friday from 9am - 6pm.

  • Dental, Medical and Behavioral health services are open, treating patients onsite and through Telehealth technologies.
BASIC NEEDS
Davis Street’s Food Pantry is open Monday – Friday from 10am - 5pm.

  • Clients may pick up a grocery bag at the warehouse door or have their bag taken to their car, must call or text (510) 561-9042 for car delivery.
  • Grocery bags can be delivered by Davis Street staff and volunteers to the homes of seniors and at-risk clients.
  • Clothing Program is closed.
  • Housing assistance for San Leandro residents: Contact kgonzalez@davisstreet.org.
CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Children’s Services is open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:30pm.

  • Jefferson Site is open Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm.
  • Lakeside, Garfield, and Roosevelt Elementary Sites are closed.
