May 2018
PRESIDENTS' LETTER
Dear Saxe Families,

It’s May! And more importantly, it is the time of year when we recognize our outstanding faculty with a whole week of Appreciation. The PTC is working feverishly with Super Saxe Dad & Contractor, Rob Sabo, to unveil a surprise project that will truly show our love of our teachers and staff. A hint - it rhymes with Schmaculty Schlounge Schmakeover…

In other news, our current and beloved principal, Mr. Greg Macedo, is diligently tying up loose ends and is quietly working towards his well-deserved retirement. Mr. Macedo will ensure that the hand-over to our newly appointed principal, Mr. David Gusitsch, is seamless and fluid. Mr. Macedo will be recognized at our year-end General PTC meeting on Wednesday, May 16th as he concludes 25 years as Principal of Saxe Middle School (more details to come). It has been a great pleasure and an honor to work alongside, Mr. Macedo, whose insights, leadership and professionalism go unmatched.

Looking to the future, incoming principal, David Gusitsch, has already contacted us to express enthusiasm in assuming his new position over the summer. We look forward to introducing Mr. Gusitsch to the Saxe parent community, when the appropriate time comes. We know that our parents will warmly embrace our new principal at the start of next school year. Spoiler: you will NOT be disappointed - David’s energy is infectious!

With appreciation,
Kate Van Dussen & Susan Gelvin
