MRD is Currently Hiring Group Fitness Instructors and Certified Personal Trainers
Group Fitness Instructor
General Statement of Duties:
Seeking certified group fitness instructors to instruct Spinning®, TRX®, Zumba®, Barre, Yoga, Mat Pilates, Body Sculpting, SilverSneakers®, and other group fitness exercise classes offered by the Montrose Recreation District. MRD is also interested in niche specialty certifications and qualifications intended for small group classes that are not part of an ongoing class schedule and/or the desire to obtain new certifications and instruct multiple class formats.
Position Qualifications:
License and Certification:
- The possession of or ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certificate.
- Certified group fitness instructor from a nationally accredited organization or hold a certification in a specialty class format Spinning®, TRX®, Zumba®, Barre, etc….
Certified Personal Trainer
General Statement of Duties:
Seeking certified Personal Trainers with a passion for helping clients achieve their goals. MRD is interested in personal trainers holding a nationally accredited Personal Trainer Certification and with experience working with a clientele of diverse backgrounds and fitness levels. Additional specialty certifications including Senior Fitness, Group Fitness, Youth Fitness, and Functional Training are also desired.
Position Qualifications:
License and Certification:
- The possession of or ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certificate.
- Current Personal Trainer certification from an NCCA accredited organization (ACE, NASM, NFPT, ACSM, etc.) requiring an in-person knowledge assessment. Personal training candidates who have completed all course work and have an exam date scheduled may be considered.
· A degree in Sports and Exercise Science or a similar field is desirable but not required.
