Gulf States Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a medical clinic specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of physical and neurological injuries and diseases. Gulf States has a friendly, patient centered staff and a dedicated research division to ensure that cutting-edge treatment is available for its patients. Gulf States is directed by Howard T. Katz, M.D. who is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Brain Injury Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.
Neuro RehabCare is a comprehensive post-acute brain and spinal cord rehabilitation residential care facility focused on helping individuals attain the highest level of personal and social independence in order to improve and maximize their quality of life.
Our purpose is to give people every tool possible to achieve their goals and dreams and to help guide them through the process of healing from brain and spinal cord injury.

Life is all about connecting. To the world around us. To the people we love. To our true selves. But when the brain suffers an injury, those connections can be damaged. We risk losing connections to our past. Connections to who we are.
Just as your brain is a system of nerve cells that connects to the rest of your body, Culicchia Neurological is a network that connects your brain to great care. We didn’t get to be the leading trauma team by accident. Since 1961, our world-class team has been New Orleans’ connection to the future of neurocare.
As one of the largest neurological and neurosurgical practices in the New Orleans Gulf South region, the Culicchia team works to ensure that our brain injury patients receive the best possible outcome at West Jefferson Inpatient Rehab and Cobalt Rehab Hospital.
ReMed of Louisiana is delighted to announce that we have received a three-year accreditation from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for our Residential Rehabilitation Programs. This achievement is an indication of ReMed’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. ReMed provides rehabilitation and supported living to individuals with brain injury and other neurologic impairments. Picking up where acute rehabilitation ends, our program provides post-acute physical, cognitive and neurobehavioral rehabilitation. Comprehensive rehabilitation and support with a focus on self-growth through measurable goals are provided in our home-like, comfortable residences and the surrounding community of Covington.
Our goal is to treat individuals served as a whole person in a supportive and therapeutic environment that builds motivation and a high sense of accomplishment. Please visit us to learn more:  https://www.nrlcbraininjury.com/

READY, RELAX, EAT PROGRAM

Our  Ready, Relax, Eat  program for family caregivers has been active since last November, and has been especially appreciated by recipients during the pandemic quarantine. In partnership with Swegs Kitchen, BIALA is providing complimentary nutritious meals that are delivered directly to family caregivers’ homes to reduce the need for grocery shopping and meal preparation. Meals are heart healthy, diabetic friendly, dairy free and gluten free, and vegetarian options are available. Many areas of the state are included for delivery.

Once you are qualified, Swegs Kitchen will call you and set up a convenient time for delivery. As funding permits, we try to accommodate each qualified family for meals for three to four weeks. This program is based on need, not income. And most caregivers are in need of a break! CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP
