HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE LAST AD COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY, MAY 17, 2021
  • Financial Status through April 30, 2021 - April Gain/(Loss) month -($1,347) and Year-to-date -($12,895). General Fund checking balance is close to zero. Finance continues to look at how to best use the funds the church has access to.

  • Most of the meeting was a conversation focused on getting our church open for worship service. Under the leadership of Pastor Rebecca Patterson we are looking at all the requirements from our Bishop and the Governor. The Ad Council hopes that our congregational meeting on Sunday, May 23, will provide information and the opportunity to answer any concerns of our members.

NEXT ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL MEETING
IN-PERSON - Date & Time TBD
When you support Peace with Justice Sunday, your gift becomes a voice for advocacy around the world. Together we strengthen God’s family with ministries that challenge structures of inequality and empower people and communities through systemic change.
$OLLARS & CENTS

April's expenses are not out of line with other months' expenses. Income is not big enough to cover them all. April 2021 contributions are $1,400 less than those in April 2020. The General Fund checking balance is close to zero.
The work of Dallas UMC continues! Please remember to give your tithes, gifts, and offerings to keep vital ministries going. If you have been distracted and have forgotten to give - no worries!
Keep Dallas UMC in mind if you do not need all of your relief payment monies.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Ward (1921 - 1994), writer
Recently Bishop Elaine Stanovsky shared, "Stepping Forward Safely in Love and Trust" in response to Covid 19. Our Ad Council has begun conversations with Pastor Rebecca on the guidelines presented and how best to re-open Dallas United Methodist Church safely for all. On Sunday, May 23, 2:00 p.m., the conversation will continue with any member of the congregation that wishes to participate. Your concerns and questions are welcome and important.
You Must Wear A Face Mask
When You Are In The Church Building

If you must enter Dallas United Methodist Church building you will need to enter on the northside of the building at the entrance to the Education Wing. There is a sign-in and sign-out sheet for each person that enters the building to sign. The Education Wing remains closed to all at this time. Please be considerate of all and keep your entrance into the building at a minimum. The church office doors have been re-keyed for the safety of our staff.
