Welcome everyone to Spokane Lilac Festival 'Destination Spokane' 2021!
I never thought I would be serving you, the Directors and Community for another year. My wife and I are honored to be your President and First Lady for 2021.
With that said, we also understand that the year ahead will still hold many challenges, or what we call opportunities for the Festival. We are moving forward with full intentions on putting together a great Festival for our Directors, Volunteers, Friends, City and Region continuing to Honor our Military, Empower our Youth and Showcase our Region.
Things have taken on a little different feel and look in some areas due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and I appreciate all the support the Directors have shown as we have had to make tough decisions over the past number of months. But as all things do, this pandemic will some day become controlled. We want to be in step with our state and community leaders as we continue to work through local issues and make the Spokane Lilac Festival even stronger throughout our region. I pray that, as we move into this next season, that each of you will keep the faith, make wise decisions and stay healthy. By doing so, you can continue to be a part of bringing back an even bigger and better Spokane Lilac Festival in May 2021. I look forward to serving all of you in any way that I can.
God bless you and the Spokane Lilac Festival Destination Spokane 2021.
Sincerely,
President Dan VerHeul & First Lady Chris
