Vote for A Night for Scott
In February 2017, neighbor Jill Zebrowski Cichowicz’s twin brother died from an accidental drug overdose. To help manage her grief, and as a way to bring something positive out of her family’s devastation, Jill created the Scott Zebrowski Scholarship Fund in partnership with the The McShin Foundation, a Richmond based addiction treatment center. Jill's first fundraiser, “A Night for Scott,” raised more than $28K for the fund and significantly contributed to raising awareness about the effects of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) on individuals and families and helped program participants with their recovery journey.
Jill and several other RounTrey neighbors have also dedicated their time and skills in forming a non-profit organization called 2 End the Stigma, to educate about Substance Use Disorder and connect individuals and families to resources and community programs that will help them overcome the barriers to receiving help.
Each year, the Richmond Time Dispatch conducts a "Best of" contest, with a variety of different categories. Voting goes through Sunday, August 1, and you can vote once per day.
Your vote(s) will contribute to increasing awareness and engagement in Jill's fundraiser that helps so many people who struggle with SUD. Thank you.
Editor's Note: Most people think of SUD as something that is far remote from our lives, but the fact is many who struggle with substances are our close neighbors, friends, family, and colleagues.
You can help make an impact and save lives.
