Greetings!
While we are in the thick of preparing for Go Wheels Up 2021, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some good news about HYI.
On April 20, 2021, San Marcos City Council adopted the updated Airport Master Plan, and this approval will help enable the proposed near-term and future growth of HYI. Many of you have been actively involved in the development of this plan since the beginning, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s wisdom, expertise, and personal time that helped us get to where we are today.
The planning for Go Wheels Up is steadily moving along with many professionals coordinating their individual areas of safety and public service to insure a successful event. There are over 30 entities working together with the singular goal of producing a memorable, family friendly, and safe weekend.
The interest in our Airport continues to grow at a healthy clip, and one of the best ways to understand why is to simply drive down Yarrington Road. The variety and magnitude of activity is stunning.
