A Message from the Principal
Andrew Beaton
Edina High School Principal
I hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend and are ready for finals week! All classes will have a final exam/activity via the schedule below. Students should take advantage of the afternoon teacher office hours available Tuesday through Thursday to prepare for exams. After a challenging year, I encourage students to find the resolve to finish strong. While COVID cases continue to decline, we can soon gear up for a relaxing and well-earned summer break with family and friends.

Materials Return Information and
Paying Fees in Infinite Campus
Important information about end of school year books and materials return.

If you have returned your books, please give us some time to scan the books in. Once the books are scanned in, the fee will be removed from your account.

Classroom materials and library books are essential to student learning. When materials are lost or damaged, students are asked to pay a replacement cost. To make things easier for families, those fees may be paid in Infinite Campus. If you receive an email telling you that your student has a fee or missing books/items, please login to the Parent Portal and use the tutorial below to see what fee has been assigned or to find out what book/item is missing. Please return the materials. You can pay for the missing book/item or the fee in Infinite Campus. If you need help with your login information, please email parentportal@edinaschools.org.

Class of 2021 Senior Party
Monday, June 7th at 9:30pm -
Tuesday, June 8th at 2:00am
Edina High School
We are in the final stages of planning for the Senior Party to be held at school
on June 7th, after the commencement ceremony.
The party will be held from 9:30pm-2am and students/families will be
responsible for their own transportation to and from the party.
All students MUST be checked in by 10pm as no one will be admitted
past 10pm for any reason.

This is the final push and we need everyone to sign up to help both with the SET UP at the school on June 4th and 5th, as well as the NIGHT OF the party June 7th.

You can sign up for both here.

We have one final form that must be filled out for each attendee.
The Student Participation Form will give us critical emergency contact info, health information and transportation plan. This form will also allow your student to receive information about our virtual party, which begins Monday, May 31!
Please go to the website and get all the latest information on volunteering for the night of the party, working at the warehouse, donating prizes, senior body drop off, etc. There is a lot to know and a lot of information on the site.

And if you haven't registered your graduate yet, please do so soon so we
have our final headcount!
Celebrating Graduates
Coronavirus has made it more difficult for high school and college students
in the Class of 2021 to celebrate their accomplishments. To honor this
spring’s graduates and acknowledge their hard work, Edina TV is displaying
photos of Class of 2021 members and their plans. These slides will
be shown throughout the day through the end of June.
Junior Parent Volunteers Needed
It's hard to believe it, but your child is officially a rising senior! And what a year senior year will be! Senior year at Edina High School is truly like no other. In addition to the amazing graduation for our rising seniors at Mariucci Arena on Saturday, June 4, 2022, there is a fabulous all night Senior Party that participants will remember the rest of their life. Don't believe us? Ask any Edina grad what their party theme was!

The Edina High School Senior Party is planned, funded, organized and run by senior students' parents as a gift to their children. The time, effort
and love it takes to put this party together is remarkable. The hundreds of hours required to put this party together is daunting but we come together as senior parents to volunteer and we manage to pull it off every year for the past 50+ years.

While the intent of this party is to help keep each of our kids safe after a very emotionally charged day, they'll have a great time, too.
(Truth be told, the parents have just as much fun at the party as the kids!)

Our first duty as parents of rising seniors is to transport
the party props to the Senior Party Warehouse on
Tuesday June 8th (following 2021 Senior Party).

To do this, we need approximately 10 rising senior parents / guardians to help for 3 hours on Tuesday June 8th from 8am-11am. Volunteers will help load and
unload props and games. Given the work, we're hoping that a few dads or
strong women will show their Hornet Pride and volunteer. Truly, the work moves quickly and you'll be done before you know it.
