Team HMC At the CAI Legal Forum 2020

We are proud to announce that our very own Susanne Darner, CCAM, Senior Community Association Manager will be speaking at this years Community Association Institutes 1st California State Wide Legal Forum, taking place September 14th-18th, 2020. Susanne will be speaking on the topic of Tendering Insurance Claims on September 16, 2020. Insurance claims are an inevitable occurrence for community associations. Knowing when to contact the insurance carrier to put them on notice is of utmost importance. Working through the claim can sometimes be easy and straightforward; however, there are times when it gets tricky. There could be overlapping coverage between policies, a claimant could sue the association, and insurance could deny coverage when you think the association has coverage. This session explains how to move forward when you are faced with these issues.
