This weekend around our nation, flags will fly, fireworks will flare and parades will march in the annual celebration of the freedoms we hold near and dear to our hearts.
No where is Independence Day as anticipated, championed and welcomed than in the small towns and rural regions across America. Fortunately for us here at Haven Harbour, our marinas are located in such a town – where local businesses, organizations, baseball teams and marching bands pitch in to continue the multi-generational tradition of a hometown parade. Where townspeople adorn their front lawns and porches in flags and patriotic decor, and fireworks light up a boat-bottlenecked harbor with every burst and flash of red, white and blue.
No matter where you will be this Fourth of July, we hope that the spirit of the day catches and inspires you. And if you just so happen to be in attendance at Rock Hall's Independence Day Parade tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. along Main Street, keep a sharp eye out for Haven Harbour's float, number 26 in line – featuring marooned flamingos, pineapples and a few other sensational surprises...
