Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan
Under Senate Bill 98, the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and an annual update to the LCAP are not required for the 2020–2021 school year. Instead, each district must develop and approve a 2020-2021 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan by September 30, 2020. The Public Hearing held on August 20, 2020 during the regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting gave stakeholders the opportunity to give input into the drafting of the 2020-2021 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan.
Based on continued feedback, our second draft LCP is now posted on www.omsd.net for viewing and providing input using an online comment form. The LCP includes how the District will address gaps in learning; conduct meaningful stakeholder engagement; maintain transparency; address the needs of unduplicated pupils, students with unique needs, and students experiencing homelessness; provide access to necessary devices and connectivity for distance learning; provide resources and supports to address student and staff mental health and social-emotional well-being, and continue to provide meals for students.
I welcome all stakeholders to view our second draft LCP and provide input to inform our continued planning in anticipation for our LCP to be adopted at the OMSD Board of Trustees Meeting on September 17, 2020. For individuals without access to connectivity, hard copies of the second draft LCP are available English and Spanish for viewing along with comment forms at Briggs Education Center, reception area at 950 W. D Street, Ontario, 91762, and at all middle schools in the District (De Anza Middle School, Oaks Middle School, Serrano Middle School, Vernon Middle School, Vina Danks Middle School, and Wiltsey Middle School). In addition, the following required meetings will be held:

I want to thank you again for your participation. Your input provides us meaningful information to plan our course of action and create a valuable Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan for OMSD.
