Joliet Catholic Academy presents the high school version of the classic musical Chicago. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago High School Edition is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s
slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today’s tabloids.

LOWCRAWL HUGS

Lowcrawl Hugs, LLC was founded in July 2021. It was born of a desire to help future Marines and their families. We are passionate about supporting all the Recruits, Marines, and their loved ones on their Marine Corps journey starting from boot camp and beyond. Our work has just begun, and we need your help to keep it going.

Mission “To support Marines and their loved ones throughout their Marine Corps journey and beyond.”

Freshmen Student Council and I decided to give to this organization, because my two sons are serving in the Marine Corps. My oldest son is stationed in North Carolina and my youngest is in San Diego. When they both graduated boot camp, there were Marines that had no family on “Family Day” to support them and it really broke my heart, but then we noticed there was a tent set up that read “Lowcrawl Hugs” this organization is run by two mothers, they set up a tent, and offer the Marines with no family on Family Day, food, dessert drinks, candy, phone chargers, and of course HUGS!!!!! I was in tears as one of my son’s friends in boot camp had lost his mother 3 weeks before graduating and then a week before he graduated his father was hospitalized. These moms looked after this Marine. We stooped by the tent and hugged and congratulated all the new Marines. These Marines are so brave, strong and resilient, going through the toughest 3 months of their lives and for this I am so grateful to be able to contribute to this amazing organization.
