Junior Rings
It is time for the class 2023 to consider the purchase of a York Catholic keepsake, a class ring!

Visit www.Balfour.com and type in York Catholic High School when asked to shop your school. The gallery is extensive with selections for everyone and the opportunity to personalize with your name and activities. Ordering is done online, with easy payment options spread over three months if needed.

Any junior needing help with sizing should stop by Mrs. Kemp’s desk in the main office. She has sizing rings available.

Delivery estimates are four to six weeks. Order by April 1 to have your class ring in time for our traditional Junior Ring Ceremony on May 27. We will celebrate the class of 2023 as they assume leadership of the school, and will commemorate their senior status with the blessing of the rings.

A ring purchase is not required.

Questions can be directed to Kathy Hand at khand@yorkcatholic.org.
Order Your Yearbook Now!

Even though the 2022 color yearbooks are not distributed until May, NOW is the time to place your order for a book. Extra yearbooks are not available in May. Only what is ordered is delivered to YC for distribution. Please do not send any money to school with your student. Balfour handles the order taking and payments allowing the yearbook advisor and staff additional time to produce the best yearbook ever. All orders are taken by phone by calling the Balfour ordering line at 1-800-944-5930 or by clicking the button below to order online.
Those Box Tops are Valuable!
Please check your boxed and canned goods for the Box Tops for Education logos.

If your box top is marked with the logo to the left, please cut it out and send it to school.
If it is labeled with the box top logo to the right, please scan your receipt.

Click the button below for more information and to download the Box Tops for Education app to scan your receipt. Be sure to select York Catholic High School as your school of choice.

York Catholic Fund
Each year, York Catholic is blessed by the generosity of our alumni, parents, and community members who donate to our annual appeal, The York Catholic Fund. This fund is integral to advancing the mission of our school and is one of the largest points of funding for YC.

Each donation allows families, alumni, and friends to enhance the life of our students through the enrichment of our academic, spiritual, and extracurricular programs. It provides funds that have an immediate impact on the diverse student programs that are the hallmark of the York Catholic experience.

No matter how much you may be able to give, your support of the YC Fund makes a tremendous difference. Participating at an amount meaningful to you is at the heart of our annual appeal and we ask that you prayerfully discern a meaningful amount to donate.

Please click the button below to use our secure online giving page.

Thank you for supporting our current students and future alumni!
Refer a Friend to YC
If you know a friend, family member, or anyone looking for a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their children who do not already attend a Catholic school, you could receive a $250 credit toward your child's tuition at York Catholic.

York Catholic's Parent Referral Program is a win-win for everyone involved. Referred students receive an outstanding education from York Catholic, while parents of the referred families get peace of mind knowing their child is gaining so much more than just a top-notch education. Families who refer someone who registers at York Catholic receive a $250 credit towards their child's tuition.

You, as parents, are our best ambassadors.  In order for the Parent Referral Program to be a success, we need information about individuals who may be interested in joining the York Catholic family. All you need to do is click below to fill out the form. If the family you refer attends York Catholic through their first semester, your family's tuition will be credited $250, spread into 4 credits applied to the months of February, March, April, and May.

It really is that simple. So go ahead. Please click on the box below and allow us the opportunity to do what we love -- help to develop, nurture, and encourage children so they may grow in faith, mind, and heart. Mail or email the form to us and we will take it from there!

The Parent Referral Program is open to all parents of current York Catholic students. The tuition credit is not available for referring your own children. The $250 credit is only good toward tuition on a student's account; no cash is given, and it is non-transferrable. A referred student applies only to a new student from a non-partner school.

Thank you for all you do for our school!

Guiding the Social Media Journey
  • Is your child already asking for a phone?
  • Does it feel somewhat daunting to talk to your child about sexuality?
  • Are you sometimes nervous about what your child may be exposed to through technology, friends, or family?

St. Joseph School is hosting “Talking About Sex and Pornography: A Healthy Guide for Parents,” that focuses on the dangers children may be facing via social media and other internet outlets. Many parents have very little idea about the water children are swimming in. It is never too early to be prepared to discuss and address these tough topics. It is also never too late. Parents of all grades are invited. Dads are highly encouraged to attend.

When: Wednesday, March 16, 7:00-8:30 PM
Where: St. Joseph School, York
Presenters:
Dr. and Mrs. Singleton, bioethicists, SJY parent
Dr. Kellett, family physician with a focus in addiction medicine, SJY parent
Dr. Garcia, family physician, SJY parent
Father Steve Fernandes, St. Joseph Catholic Church pastor
Inclement Weather
During inclement weather that would cause a school closing or delay of schedule, York Catholic will call/text/email you through our One Call Now Emergency Notification system. Other modes of notification include WGAL TV-8, Fox43, and the YC website. Students from individual school districts are automatically excused if their district closes and does not provide transportation to YCHS. The exceptions to this are Southern and Southeastern. These students follow York Catholic’s delay and closing schedule.
