The Glades Initiative's Food Distribution at New Location (One Block South of Previous Office)
The Glades Initiative offers food distribution at its new location to anyone in need. Those coming in cars are asked to line up as usual beside the office at 149 SE Avenue D for drive-through pick-up on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Both drivers and walkers will receive food bags on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Your Spending and Savings Plan Financial Literacy Session presented by The Glades Initiative
The Glades Initiative presents Money Smart, designed to provide you with information to strengthen your financial literacy. This session will focus on developing a spending and saving plan, and how to prioritize spending when money is short. Community based physical activity. Fun, energetic class with a combination of short resistance and endurance training bursts, followed by recovery periods to give you the ultimate total body workout. Health Care District Offers Free, Walk-up COVID-19 Vaccinations Tuesdays in Belle Glade
Getting vaccinated is quick, easy and free! The Health Care District of Palm Beach County encourages those 12 years and older to receive the COVID-19 vaccine this summer. Stop by West Technical Education Center, a School District of Palm Beach County site, at 2625 NW 16th Street in Belle Glade from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday through the first week of August. Those who are vaccinated here can receive a $10 gift voucher for grocery shopping! 12 to 17 year-olds must be with a parent or guardian. Look for the Health Care District’s big blue bus!

This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Scholarship: The John A Foley, Esq Legal Scholarship
The Nonprofit Chamber of Palm Beach County is awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a current law student attending a Florida law school who is planning to practice Public Interest Law. The scholarship is in memory of John A. Foley, Esq., an attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County who established its Nonprofit Legal Aid Project, providing legal assistance to nonprofits in Palm Beach County for more than 30 years. The Nonprofit Chamber is comprised of the CEOs of some 100 health and human services nonprofits in Palm Beach County.

Due to a sudden influx of pets coming into the shelter, Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, a division of the Public Safety Department is extending its $4.00 adoption promotion.

Bus Riders Must Register by July 25
The Register Your Ride portal will open on Monday, July 12. Parents and guardians must complete a brief registration to ensure their child is assigned to a bus. The child must have a student ID to use when registering.

Take Stock in Children is recruiting caring individuals who want to make a difference in a child's life. They need strong role models to support their male and female students at a local middle or high school. HMHB Educational Classes Continue Virtually. In doing our part to keep the community healthy and safe. Small Steps Great Parents workshops for pregnant women and new families. Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free hands-on education programs for parents and their support partners through our Small Steps Great Parents program. Classes are taught by trained and/or certified Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies staff, as well as community partners throughout Palm Beach County.
