Best of the Fox Winner!
What: Each year thousands of Northwest Herald readers cast their votes for their favorite business in McHenry County. This year, Becky Kirchner is the recipient of the "Best of the Fox - Best Real Estate Company".
Becky has been a licensed REALTOR for 27 years. For 20 years, she ran a successful business in Birmingham, AL, listing and selling real estate, working for multiple home builders and 3.5 years leading up to her move home to McHenry County managed an office of 77 agents. During her time in Alabama, she was a licensed continuing education instructor, teaching pre-license
and post-license courses and wrote and taught a license law course.
Moving home to Illinois was an opportunity to start a new business in the area where she grew up. Becky has been licensed with RE/MAX Plaza for seven years, rapidly growing her business
by referrals. Becky believes in giving back to her industry and community. In 2019, she served as the President of the local real estate organization, Heartland REALTOR Organization. Throughout her time in the industry, Becky has held many other positions and served on many committees. She has earned many industry designations and certifications, always staying on top of emerging trends.
Congratulations to Becky for her hard work and dedication to this community and the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce. If you want the best, give Becky a call.

Support Home of the Sparrow's GoFundMe Campaign and Help Sustain our Shelter, Housing and Services for Homeless Women and Children!
What: The one thing that has always been paramount to Home of the Sparrow is the people who come to Home of the Sparrow in need of shelter and housing services. Home of the Sparrow is there to serve and to ensure our services remain intact during the pandemic. Please consider supporting Home of the Sparrow’s GoFundMe Campaign at www.charity.gofundme.com/covid-19-shelter-campaign, and help us sustain our shelter, housing and services for homeless women and children in our community.
Despite serious disruptions to HOS’s daily funding streams during this pandemic (i.e. its Thrift Stores and cancellations of Spring fundraising events), HOS has kept vulnerable, homeless members of our community sheltered and cared for. As “shelter in place” restrictions loosen and stays on evictions are lifted, HOS anticipates a significant increase in need for its services, particularly among newly homeless individuals/families and individuals/families fleeing domestic violence. Additional funds are greatly needed to provide necessary affordable housing rental assistance, shelter operations, case management, and homelessness prevention services to homeless women and children.
Home of the Sparrow is hoping to raise $30,000 in support of these critical services. Your support helps keep these vital services intact to help those most vulnerable. Please spread the word with this GoFundMe Campaign. Thank you so much for your support!
