Vespers Service- March 18
This Vespers service is a way for you to take some devoted time with God as we begin observing Lent together. We will focus on many of the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5. Let’s come to Jesus as we are: meek, poor in spirit, mourning/lamenting, asking for pure hearts, and hungering and thirsting for God and His righteousness. Let’s receive what God promises to those who come to Him in this way. Join us at 7:00pm for this extended time of seeking God through worship, prayer, and reflection. This gathering will not be offered on livestream.
Reflections, music, and prayer
This year we are exploring Lent through the less traditional lens of lament. Our passage of focus will be Matthew 27:45-56. Each week we will reflect on a different part of this passage in a blog post, soak up a Lament song from Porter's Gate, and cry out with a prayer Psalm from David.
*If you are interested in the Lent resources for your family please connect with Polly. She has a couple different options for you to explore.

Youth Director Search Team Update
The job description for this position has been updated and a search team has been formed and is pursuing applicants. The members of this team include: Emily Larson, Nancy Olson, Greg Larson, Jessica Edwards, Deena Fischer (chair), Mike Anderson, and Pastor John Jacobi. We invite you to pray for this team as they pursue Crosstown's next Director of Youth Ministries.

Crosstown Covenant Church in south Minneapolis is seeking a bold disciple of Jesus to serve as its next Director of Youth Ministries. This person will serve teen students (6th grade - high school) by nurturing faith and life in Jesus Christ. This role is 20-25 hours / week. Crosstown is a congregation seeking to live-out a vision of "Passion for Christ, Compassion for People." We have a huge heart for our community that is partially lived-out by hosting a food distribution as well as hosting Spanish-speaking and Ethiopian congregations in our building. Interested persons are invited to contact Lead Pastor John Jacobi (pastorjohn@crosstowncovenant.org).
This is quite the unusual bird and we are pretty sure it isn't native to Sweden...but he is perched on the Swedish sign in the kitchen. "Dar SΓ₯ God!"

Join us on Instagram or Facebook for our "Where's that located?" game! 🧐
On Monday we publish an up close and personal image of something on the church property and then see if you can name the item and where it's located. πŸ€”
πŸ’΅ Giving Point of Clarification
It is not unusual to receive checks from investment accounts (e.g. retirement accounts, dividends, etc.). If possible, please have your financial institution include your name, either on the check or on the accompanying paperwork. On several occasions checks have arrived with no identification of the givers (account owners). Those donations will not appear on the year-end giving statement since there is no way to determine who made the donation. If you have any questions please contact Liana Ogawa.
