The Rupert Report
From the Desk of AIANTA's CEO
July 12, 2021
We're getting excited for AITC 2021. Here's a flashback to 2019.
AIANTA Highlights for the Coming Week
Developing Regional Alliances for Cooperative Marketing Webinar
July 13; 10 a.m. MDT
A strategic approach to destination marketing includes bringing together partners under one collaborative umbrella to ensure a wider reach for all stakeholders. How can a tribe work collectively to promote tourism within their state or region? Join Suzette Brewer, Executive Director of Native American Tourism of Wisconsin (NATOW), Jason Morsette of the Mandan Hidatsa Arikara (MHA) Nation and Charlene Virgilio of Four Directions Development Corporation (in partnership with the Maine Department of Economic Development) as they share the benefits of developing a regional marketing program.

Meet us at RES!
July 19-21, Las Vegas, NV
AIANTA is going to RES and we would love to connect.

Hear me speak at the "Possibilities: Grow & Transition Your Career with Purpose" panel discussion at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, in the Jubilee Ballroom 2.

And don't miss my presentation on AIANTA's "Case Studies in Tribal Agritourism" at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, in the Jubilee Ballroom 1.

We will be located at booth #132 in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino Convention Center. Please drop by or make an appointment to meet with me!

America250 Hospitality & Tourism Advisory Council Co-Chair
I am thrilled to announce that I will be the Co-Chair of the America250 Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Council. I am looking forward to meeting with Indian Country to begin discussions to increase awareness of America250 and to discuss how Indian Country will participate in the commemoration.
Join us at IPW
September 18-22, Las Vegas, NV
Join AIANTA in meeting the international tour operators and tourism pros who are responsible for bringing travelers to the United States.

AIANTA’s shared booth will present a cohesive tribal tourism message while also providing AIANTA partners with enhanced marketing opportunities through cross-promotional efforts and pre-show technical assistance and training.

Additionally, joining AIANTA will provide tribes and tribal enterprises with a substantial cost savings over attending IPW individually.

AITC Mobile Workshops
Joining us for AITC? In partnership with Arizona tribes, AIANTA is hosting three mobile workshop programs in advance of the conference.

The mobile workshops will provide conference attendees with an add-on option to explore successful tribal tourism programs in Arizona. In addition to providing a learning experience from successful Native American tourism operators, these mobile workshops extend the networking opportunities which are a hallmark of AITC. AITC is scheduled for October 25-28, in Fort McDowell, Arizona, and the mobile workshops are held October 25.
