PTSD Awareness Month
"Until the coronavirus outbreak, I traveled quite extensively in my role at Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), and taking an Uber to and from airports has become second-nature for me. I often use the time in the back seat to answer emails, send texts, and occasionally engage in superficial small talk with the driver. On my last trip, something unexpected happened.."
For a year and a half, Crowell has been leading the Kanikapila and teaching the Soldiers at the WTB the ukulele. Crowell says he was sent by the Ukulele Guild to teach the class because of his strong family connection, interest in the military, and to be an instructor of healing.

What a beautiful way to heal together during these tough times! This song is inspirational, and it shows the importance of remaining distant from one other while still being there for each other.
The Army Women’s Foundation honors the service and sacrifices of U.S. Army women through our Hall of Fame Induction and Special Recognition Awards program. Women who have served in the Army or the Armed Forces, and contributed extraordinary service are eligible for induction into the US Army Women’s Hall of Fame. Our Special Recognition Awards are presented to any individual who has made exceptional contributions to women in the Army or the Armed Forces. Most inductees are women who have served in the US Army, but the list of honorees also includes Brigadier General Wilma Vaught, USAF, Retired.
Our Hall of Fame Awards were first presented in 2009, and have been presented each year since then.

The Army Women’s Foundation and Trident University recognize the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional and economic fulfillment. As part of the Army Women’s Foundation Scholarship Program, the Tr ident University Scholarship Program provides full-ride scholarships to Women Soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The Trident University Scholarship Program annually provides full ride scholarships for one (1) student pursuing a bachelor’s degree and one (1) student pursuing a graduate degree. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from Trident University.
