Tips to transition your spa
into the Fall season!
Looking to continue using your spa in the winter? Be sure to Drain and Clean your spa before the weather gets too cold. Not only will you want a fresh fill with new water to last through out the season but filling a spa with water once the temperature has dropped could lead to freeze damage.
Balance your water! Ensure that all proper chemicals are added to the fresh fill to keep the water neutral like tap water. Conditioners will also need to be re-added if you feel your water is too harsh.
Check your filters! After soaking in the summer months, be sure to remove your filters and give them a good clean/rinse to remove excess debris and allow for proper water flow. This is also a good time to inspect your filters for any damage in case they need replacing.
Check your accessories! Be sure to take a good look at your cover and cover lifter to ensure all are in good, working condition. As the years go by, spa cover foam can become saturated with water and will become heavy. This can be reduced with the use of a floating bubble blanket to reduce the moisture in the air space between the water surface and the cover.
